🎬 “But We Have Free Will…”
A behind-the-scenes look at my new animated short that unravels this tired excuse for evil
“God allows suffering because He gave us free will.”
We’ve all heard it.
It’s one of the most common defenses of pain, tragedy, and injustice under a supposedly perfect, loving God.
But there’s a massive problem buried in that claim—one that most believers never examine.
If humans have free will in heaven…
And there’s no sin or suffering there…
Then why didn’t God just start us there?
That’s the question I’m bringing to life with a bold, stylized animated short that exposes the internal contradiction of this argument—visually, philosophically, and unapologetically.
🎥 Why I’m Making This
I've worked in video production, animation, and visual effects for over 20 years.
But this—this is the types of projects I’ve always wanted to make.
I’ve spent my life building visuals for clients. Now, I’m using those same tools to challenge systems of control, spotlight logical fallacies, and ask the questions that dogma is afraid of.
This isn’t about mocking belief.
It’s about standing up for reality—one frame at a time.
🧠 Why Animate This?
Because this argument is everywhere.
It’s used to justify genocide in the Bible, cancer in children, and eternal damnation.
And yet, when you compare it to Christian theology’s own description of heaven—it completely collapses.
So, I built this project as a stylized, mid-century-modern animatic—something that feels like a mix between dystopian propaganda and sacred myth, reframed through the lens of reason.
